Superficial Hell/Come Here/Sculpture/No Dogs/Some
Day/Whatever, 2005
wall painting, poster, mixed media and tape
Combining poetry with cynicism and aggressiveness with resignation the
works comment on the art object and its context in communication with the
onlooker. “Some day the world will collapse and this board will be hurled into
the universe” the text reads on a tape wrapped board suspended by rope from the
ceiling, transforming the object into a projected abstract scenario. The
artwork/artist’s anxious wish do draw the viewer closer goes nasty in the
poster text “hey you fuckar you come here..”. A crudely put together sign states “No Dogs” and a
small text on the wall: “whatever”. Another sculpture made out of a roughly
painted cardboard cup and its transport box is carelessly placed on the floor.
The whole scenario is overseen by the cornered wall writing “Superficial Hell”
–arrogantly condemning the artworks, the group show as a whole and possibly the
art world by large.
